32 UMGENYANE

This wonderful reno was commissioned in 2020, by some lovely clients who were planning to move in eight months later, however due to covid restrictions in the UK, they decided to immigrate and the house was finished weeks after they left SA – tragically.

Fortunately the new owners loved the whole reno and have not changed a thing, other than to complete the decking and pergolas.

The original brief was to open up the existing loft room to the magnificent Albert Falls Dam views to create a bright, spacious home office, and also to enable en suites for all the rooms, upgrade the kitchen and add on a cottage.

We enclosed the main verandah to form a flexible entertainment space.  Select-a-tile did a magnificent job with the tiling (layouts, detailing, cutting and inserts) while Kim Hansen of Kitchen Classics designed an exquisite kitchen, scullery and pantry, with wine cellar under the stairs.

Carl Kaizer of Kaizer Floors was responsible for the beautiful herringbone oak Engineered planks. Thanks to Lance and Ridl Construction, the project was a success, despite several covid lockdowns!
